My wife and I became members of the DSSA in 2022 for the first time. We had been looking to buy a sailboat, and wisely decided to learn how to sail first. The staff is very kind and accommodating, while being serious about giving us all of the necessary instruction to achieve our dreams of sailing off into the sunset, someday!

Hands down best sailing community. Affordable memberships and classes. Great fleet for all levels of experience. Definitely not the typical rich boat club crowd. These folks are real people who are looking to share their love for sailing with all walks of life.

I took a sailing lesson with Zach and had a blast! He was super knowledgeable and by the end of the two hours I was sailing confidently around the harbor. I just found out that this place existed and will definitely be going back!
