Sweet Taste of Italy

Wow! Love the desert. My co-worker is the sweetest! This is her favorite and now mine. She often brings me new things to try. I absolutely love the food! Yum!

Bland bland bland! The food seemed like they didn't use any seasoning at all. Hardly any service and the seating area was not to clean and very dated. Will not be going back.

Sweet Taste of Italy was a family favorite when we lived in Champlin. The House Special pasta was a favorite of mine, and I loved the bread. Even after moving away, I still made a point to stop by when I was visiting friends in Brooklyn Park and I cheered them on as they went on to win the Brooklyn Park Restaurant Challenge last week. Sadly, my love of Sweet Taste of Italy came to an abrupt and unexpected end today when I saw them mocking a prior Google review on Facebook this morning. The reviewer commented that the bike rack outside was barely usable. When I saw the picture Sweet Taste of Italy posted, it did look like the rack was perhaps too close to the wall, making it difficult to use, so I respectfully posted and suggested that the reviewer may have a point and that they should share the feedback with the property manager (as the rack is on the side of Up North Liquor and likely belongs to the mall.) I also agreed with several others that mocking another customer was reflecting poorly on their business. I didn't feel like my comments were disrespectful in any way, but apparently that feedback was not received well because my comments were deleted, and I was blocked from their Facebook page. The way you treat your customers, especially the more challenging ones who may have a different viewpoint than you, says a lot about your business and it's disappointing to see how Sweet Taste of Italy handled this feedback.
