I was very pleased with my experience with Elk Hardwood Flooring. They were low key and low pressure when presenting a good price for refinishing my floors. My floors were wore down and waterstained and probably had not been refinished since the house was built in 1984. The finished job surpassed my expectations. I am a Consumer Reports kind of guy and did my research about what I wanted ahead of time (three coats of oil based poly using a quality poly). They used a product highly recommended on trade blogs for its durability (poloplaz primero), and I feel that the end results show the care, skill, and experience they put into refinishing my floors. While I was driving on 94W in Rogers Mn I was cut off and flipped off by one of your drivers repeatedly. The license plate of the vehicle was 500-LNZ. If this is how your drivers behave, what does it say about your business? Very unprofessional.

Beware of this company, I had them refinish my hardwood floors including kitchen, dining room, entryway and stairs and was very disappointed. I had sanding marks, fish eyes and overlapping of the finish and he had to return twice to fix those areas. The finish wore through in less than six months and when he came out he blamed my housekeeping. I live alone and have a cleaning service every week and had several contractors tell me it was because of an uneven application of the oil finish. He did nothing to fix the problem even after I offered to my the material and he only furnish his labor. For the price it was not worth the headache, look around and find someone who stands behind their work.
