Spectrum Health Medical Group Urgent Care

I had to get blood drawn and April S. was fabulous. She was friendly right from the get go. She searched around until she finally found a vein she could use and just like that she was done and got all the blood needed. Thank You April S.

We came in to be seen for a busted and bruised finger/nail with my 8 year old. We got right in so no issues there. X-ray showed no breaks, but the doctor said he was worried about my sons nail in the future with healing. He said he didnt think we should try to drain the blood that was causing pressure because it would risk infection. He advised we go to Helen Devos because he recommended the entire fingernail be removed for the best healing. We drove to Helen devos, waited to be seen, only to be told by the ER doctor that she advised we drain the blood with a simple poke in his nail. No removal necessary. She said they dont remove nails often unless its an emergency since its such a painful procedure and it is a very involved procedure. ER staff was amazing and they were able to relieve the pressure and his pain quickly! All this to say that we now have a very expensive ER bill coming for something that could have been taken care of at urgent care. Super disappointed with how this all had to go.

Made appointment online to be seen for a nasty flu/cold type virus and was treated extremely well by the whole staff. Very friendly and efficient operation. The PA that I saw was excellent and very understanding and helpful.
