Man! Came in town after being away from Detroit for 2 years. Last time I visited this place it was immaculate. It was clean and pristine. This time it was like a crack house. As soon as you walk in, the dope fiend crack house aroma hits you. Went into the room and it smelled. Sheets look like they hadn't been changed because there was a pube on them. OK. I paid my money so I decided to make the best of it. I saw the police there at least 3 times in my 4 day stay. To top it off, I decided to sleep in one day. Thank God. Some random guy walks into my room. The front desk actually assigned this guy my room that was already paid for and actually gave him a key! WOW! LIKE Chris Rock! If I wasn't there this guy could have robbed me blind courtesy of HAWTHORNE SUITES. I thought that maybe it was an inside job and they were trying to steal my belongings. I don't know, but I do know that they gave this guy a key to my room. Never ever EVER ever will I set foot in this housing project again.

Rooms were not cleaned to industry standards. No breakfast=being cheap. every other hotel around has resumed serving. The layout was awful, the space was noisy and everything smelled like weed. (That was probably the best thing about the stay)

I do not recommend this hotel i had a roach on my counter in the kitchen the bath has a leak & someone who was also here was fighting outside they has woke me & my kids up it was an hole in a wall also walls was nasty the heat was blowing cold air bed bug stains on the wall.
