I had a great experience with MC&F! Mr. Garland listened to my budget, helped direct me toward a great Mohawk carpet, was patient and understanding with the decision process, and was very accommodating with the installation timing needs. He measured with both the laser and tape measure, his measurement came out 500 square feet less than the Lowe measurement! The installation team was pleasant, professional, had good camaraderie, left all clean and neat. Very pleased, and recommend.

If I could give this company 2 different star ratings, I would. The salesman, Gary, that I worked with was amazing. He took a lot of time with me and asked a lot of questions so he could give me a accurate estimate. He then came out and took his time taking accurate measurements. After talking cost, I asked if he could also give me an estimate with carpet and he did without hesitation. He deserves a 5 star rating. Here's were the 2 star rating comes in. The installers that have worked at this company for 20 years per the salesman, show up between 930 and 1030 each morning and are off by 3. They only stayed until 330 one day out of 5. This job was projected to take 4 days. Had these guys worked full day, this would have taken a little over 3 days to complete. Instead they had to come back the fifth day for a whole 2 hours to complete the job. Only working 5-5.5 hr days is completely unprofessional and honestly taking advantage of the customers time. While these installers did do great work with the exception of 3 areas of trim that should have been recut and installed and a riser they tried to say just needed caulk and paint. They seemed irritated I asked them to fix the riser. After the 4th day of working 5 hrs, I called the store to see if these hours were normal or if I was being taken advantage of. I was told by the store that 5 hour days are normal for their installers. I feel they need to tell their customers this because most people will expect their installers to work at least 8 hour days. Expectations could be managed without the frustration if this was clearly indicated ahead of time.

My mud room flooring had to be redone and they did an excellent job. Looked really amazing and was a high quality job. 100 % didn't care for the interaction with the president of the store (Gary Garland) but everyone else was great. I do also understand that running a load of laundry within 24 hours of it was not a smart decision when they said no heavy foot traffic. I learned my lesson on not washing a heavy load carpet.

Carpeting is fine. Installation leaves a lot to be desired. I had the installers back twice shortly after installation and now 2 1/2 weeks later there is some buckling near the door..carpeting wasnt stretched enough. I do not want these installers back and will have that section stretched in the Spring when I replace carpeting in another room and not with this company. Carpeting is only as good as the installation. Seam is still showing after they came back a second time.

Gary was a great help when we went in to choose carpet for our home. The crew that installed it was quick and professional. The house looks incredible and all at a reasonable price. Thanks so much Michigan Carpet!
