Budget Truck Rental

Booked a truck rental 3 weeks in advance. Was called morning of rental and told there were no trucks and that if I had an issue with it I should call the 1-800 number. 1-800 number was slightly more helpful (said that they'd find a location where I could pick up the truck) but was not at all apologetic and kept asking if I could reschedule my move. I will never rent with Budget Truck and recommend that if you have to actually move on a particular day not to rent with them either.

Made a reservation for a truck and recieved a call that it was not availible and the reservation would have to be cancelled. 2 days later I was charged a $150 no show fee by budget to my credit card. Called the location to speak with a rep to find out what had happened and was hung up on 3 times in a row. Eneded up having to call the main help line to try resolve the issue. I have done thousands of dollars in business with budget but this will certainly be the last time I spend a penny with them. They are dishonest and this was clearly intentional. Upon speaking with a real customer service rep I was informed that employees at the physical location are unable to actually cancel a reservation so I was lied to when I was told that it had been cancelled and whoever I spoke to at that time knew that I was going to be charged $150 for a No Show on a truck that did not exist. Truly sickening business practices and they have lost mine and my familys business forever.

Terrible Experience, I rented an SUV that I found out while on a family vacation, was not properly maintained. I will never use BUDGET Rent a Car 3845 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI location again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. I paid good money for a terrible rental experience, NEVER AGAIN. My family and I were placed into danger, due to the vehicle that I rented not being properly serviced, it was low or no engine oil, no washer fluid, low brake fluid, low tire pressure. I can't believe they gave me this death trap to go on a trip in. Then whilst my family and I were trying not to get stranded in this death trap of a SUV, I called both customer service and roadside assistance, but nobody would help me and I was in the middle of nowhere! This place should be ashamed of themselves! This is NOT how you do business, this is not the AMERICAN WAY!!!! Budget needs to do better!! Very upset with this experience!! SHAMEFUL!!
