First year with William he made a bunch of trades that created capital gains, without losses to offset them I end up with a tax bill of over $4000.00.He did not return my calls when I had questions, made a number of trades that were not discussed. Stay far away! One was the lowest I was allowed to score.

My retired mother lost around 50000 with this man. Ameriprise is impossible to work with when you have a problem and we were treated horribly be the corporate offices. Ask for a sales pitch on VULs. He took advantage of my mother and sold her 3 insurance policies and left her financially bleeding with yearly fees over 9000. He got his nice commission and Ameriprise socked away my moms money into their own riversource insurance.

Bill Bynum advised an 82 year single mother of five, worked 30 years, trusted him with her entire savings and he advised her out of 47,000.00. Yes forty seven thousand. What a lesson. Had to pick a star to rate and review. Zero stars and do not recommend. I'm filing a complaint with amerprise for a full investigation. See how they respond. Then securities and exchange and any other Avenue available. So be careful. This has happened with the Amerprise practice owned by William L Bynum, Trenton Michigan. He has crushed the family with his financial advising. Financial Advisor William L Bynum 47,000.00 loss in Trenton Michigan. As I pull teeth to learn . . . Stopped the bleeding at about 43000.00. Bill, I called and left message. We just want the money back . . Hey Bill, Even though Ameriprise refused to discuss the bogus VUL with us I think I finally put it all together. Now I know why you and Ameriprise are so defiant. I calculated that you and Ameriprise duped my mother out of over 454,400.00. This is based on your inflated calculations, hand waiving illustrations, and misleading sales tactics, refusal to share material facts, breach of fudiciary responsibilities and empty promises. Thats pretty outrageous . . . You are a very unethical human being taking advantage of a 70 year old retired woman. Everybody I talk to about Ameriprise seems to have the same impression that the Ameriprise corporate culture is unethical. Thanks for reinforcing this behavior . . . Someday, someone will reveal how you dupe people. I'll just keep sharing the story and eventually it will go full circle. Taking advantage and hurting people makes you a very very bad man. You have no right to do this to people that offered you complete trust. We are always here and willing to meet with you and Ameriprise in Southgate to discuss this entire financial flogging! I received a copy of your personal handwritten notes that prove he mislead us and lied about the VUL policy. I now have physical proof of your deliberate lies and the Ameriprise cover up. Collusion and fraud.
