This place is horrible, went in during Cherry Festival because it was the only bar we could get into - 1/4 capacity. Bartender was totally rude, asked for wine in wine glass not plastic and she was outraged. Got tab left no tip for bad service and she took our drinks and threw them out and called the police on us. Called to talk to owner or manager today - no one available and same rude attitude wouldn't even take my number to get a call back. Who ever owns this business needs to go there from time to time or hire some management - these employees are running wild.

Three stars is generous. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars opposed to 2 stars is because the food is good, the atmosphere and decor is well done and the staff is friendly. This place would be great if they did a few simple things and it's a shame that if something doesn't change then Union Cantina will be a thing of the past for Traverse City. The service is friendly but unfortunately VERY slow. The food is good but WAY over priced. We have been there twice and ordered take out once.

Far too expensive, cut back the prices just a couple bucks and it would be much more reasonable
Take out comes with small plastic ramekins that look like they use 1 tablespoon to fill. It almost looks like someone ate out of it already because it is less than half full.
When you order a appetizer do not send out ramekins with barely anything in when the app costs $10 and it's not big enough to begin with.
Take out containers are esthetically pleasing but don't send a wet burrito out in a thin cardboard box, common sense should tell you that!
Overall I would honestly not recommend this place to any one of my friends that is visiting town, there are for too many other great restaurants in this town. MAKE SOME CHANGES PLEASE. If service is stepped up and prices get adjusted then it would be a great start! I would hate to see this place go but it deserves to with the practices at the moment.
