First guy came out, was courteous. Figured out the issue, then another guy, a maintenance supervisor came out. He was very knowledgeable, fixed the problem without a costly repair but we bought another system to be more efficient anyway. Best guys in the business as far as I'm concerned.

We recently made an appointment with Burkett's because they did the initial HVAC install in the home. Spoke with the receptionist to set the appointment up, she was very polite, I asked how much to have a tech come out and give us an est. for repairs, she said it would be $99 for the service diagnostics and if we needed a cleaning it would be an additional $79. So we went ahead and set the appointment up, I have some background in HVAC so I am somewhat familiar with the operation of the system and had done a couple of checks the night before and iterated to the receptionist and the tech there was a pressure switch issue. Because I have a full time job and didn't mind paying for fair service, we just decided to have them come and check it out and give an est. if we needed repairs. The tech came out spent approximately 45 minutes, then came up stairs and said the intake was plugged due to ice. he had taken the intake off the furnace of which this just initialed lifting up the PVC pipe and setting to the side, he explained that its a common problem and just needed to thaw out, i said ok I could take it from there, I did not get a quote for picking up the PVC and setting it to the side, he just did it . " Remember I asked for a quote before any repairs" I was fully prepared to pay the $99 for the 45 minute service call, I then asked if he thought it needed cleaning and he said no it looked fine. I then said how much do we owe and was shocked when he said it would be $160. I didn't argue with him, but after my Girlfriend and I talked about it we decided to call and ask for the $61 back as we did not believe we should have been charged for for the Tech lifting the PVC pipe up 2" and setting to the side especially when I specifically asked for a quote first. My Girlfriend called back the next day and spoke with the manager Aaron, to ask why we were charged the extra $61, he said because the Tech removed the PVC (of which again there was no ok for the extra $61 to do this). Not to mention he was very rude to her! I then called Aaron myself and asked the same question of which he gave me the same answer. POINT be very specific if you are going to do business with the new owners of Burkett’s! They are not the same family owned business!
