Worse place to work, and worse place to have a family member taken care of. ☺️ Since the owner decided to comment on my review saying they have no knowledge whatsoever of me, I wonder why. 🤔

I was a nurse for Comfort are in Stanton, MI. Many of the caregivers knew nothing about housework, taking care of clients needs, cleaning, cooking, shopping, or helping clients. Many clients had medicine, money, or property stolen from the caregivers. The Covid money they were supposed to give the caregivers was spent for the owners quarterly vacations. They were turned in to the State and had to back pay them Covid pay. It's 06-16-2022 and the other nurse and I are still waiting for our Covid pay. Owners husband has a Doctorate in Theology but signs Dr. in front of his name on messages to staff so that it sounds like a medical doctor. Scheduling caregivers is not well done and people go without a caregiver many times and the office lies to patients about what their caregiver was given to a different client. Truth is a rarity when owners deal with staff. There is no training to the caregivers and most of them complain about it. They are not up to date on State rules or any other regulations. When they get caught, the blame always goes to staff. Very poor company to work for.

This company has the most unreliable caregivers. We had hired a caregiver through ComForCare to watch my father overnight allowing my mother to sleep. A simple task of making sure he was safe, using the walker to the restroom. This caregiver allowed my father to go outside at 4 a.m. then awoke my mother with an emergency. She could not find him. Mind you it is January in Michigan. My mother found him behind one of the barns on their farm. His knees had been on the ground at one point indicating he had fallen and were covered with mud. Who knows how long he had been outside in the freezing temperatures. Do NOT hire this company if you care about your loved one. The feeling of comfort and care just don't suit this company. The response below received from ComForCare is a lie. They were not hired to care for the "wife". They were hired to care for the husband so the wife could sleep. As a matter of fact, the wife was sleeping and was woken up when the caregiver could not locate him! One more reason to never trust this company.
