I love this place. Ill tell you upfront, the wait times are kind of long. I am so impressed with this office. I couldnt love Dr. Sosne more if you paid me. He is such a smart, kind, caring person. The staff has always been super, very thorough. The staff at the front desk, Fatima and Sheila are great. I know this because as a patient sitting there for an hour in the waiting room you hear and see their interactions. A lot if the patients are elderly. These two women treat them as if they were their parents or grandparents. Its REALLY touching to witness this level of respect. I was blind after cataract surgery. It was done at a place that WAS NOT KEI. My vision has been restored by the staff at KEI. Dr.s Sosne and Lin and the staff cleaned up the mess my previous Opthamologist made. This group worked hard to fix that eye. They showed me the test results and reviewed them with me, they did surgery to fix the eye. They provided excellent post -op and follow up care. Danielle, the optician spent and hour fitting me with new lenses. I wont go anywhere else. highly recommended KEI. I know I will stay at teaching facilities. I have learned my lesson. Thank You a million times to the staff. I would have been lost without you. I have written this over and over in the Surveys sent to me after every visit, yet the responses are apparently not shared with the staff. Michelle Tocco

In my early 40s, at a routine eye exam, when another ophthalmologist announced that I had "cute little cataracts" forming that would eventually need surgery, I knew it was time to find a different doctor. After doing my own research, and well as seeking out referrals, I scheduled my next visit with Dr. Sosne and have been grateful ever since. It has been three months since I have had those cataracts removed and could not be more pleased with my vision today. While every person deserves the very best vision possible, I was especially concerned about the outcome given my age. At 50, my job demands I have excellent vision at all distances, and I detest wearing glasses, even readers. With Dr. Sosne's suggestion for two different types of premium lenses, and his impeccable skills as a surgeon, I have better than perfect vision at all distances. He said this would be "life changing" for me, and he was not wrong. I had worn either glasses or contact lenses for forty years, yet today after surgery, I see better than ever. While Dr. Sosne's skills as an ophthalmologist and surgeon are what first led me to his office, his excellent communication skills, kindness, and genuine concern for helping me to achieve the best possible outcome are reasons why I consider him to be one of the very best doctors I have seen.

Dr. Sosne bed side manners cannot be duplicated. He is a man of integrity, good character, substance and very professional. He gives you hope when youre stressed out about procedures and outcomes. He takes his time and explains to you and helps to calm your fears. My mom was extremely stressed about having cataract surgery and Dr. Sosne and his staff was there for her every step of the way. God definitely sends his angels to do his work and Dr. Sosne is just that an ANGEL.

Dr. Sosne is a true gem and breath of fresh air. Unmatched expertise. Superior to anyone Ive met in his field AND IT SHOWS as soon as he starts talking. He explained my results so I HEARD and UNDERSTOOD them, without a doubt. His phenomenal bedside manner made that possible, especially when dealing with someone as apprehensive as myself. After months of crippling anxiety about my eyes and vision, within minutes of meeting him, that all disappeared. He knew exactly how to lighten the mood with his jokes and charisma. He answered all of my questions (even when I was being redundant). Doctors like him and far and few in between. He provided me with patient aids to make sure I fill my prescriptions properly and before I had my follow up scheduled, the pharmacy was already calling me. I have not been this relieved in as long as I can remember. Im eternally grateful for him. His staff was also amazing. Fatima at the 12 mile location went above and beyond to help me, even while multitasking thousands of things. She even took the liberty of calling the other location so they knew I was coming. She is a kind, wholesome person whose work ethic is unparalleled. Upon making it to the Detroit location; I was welcomed by Gwen (I hope thats correct, will update if it is not because she deserves to be known), who walked me through the entire process from check in to follow up. She was so genuine and even gave me her own water to help calm me. Wholesome people like this are the only faith left in humanity. Everything about this experience, from start to finish, is better than I could have ever hoped or dreamed. God bless all of them.
