My apartment has mold for almost a.year.the roof.has leaked for.a year.the maintenance is horrible they don't replace the.carpet the management is disrespectful rude and unprofessional

I enjoyed living here for several years, however this year's experience caused me to move out. The living conditions are negligible, my building had a leak in the basement causing the ceiling to collapse next to my storage unit exposing mold and rot, yet apparently this was not an "emergency" and the complex left standing water and drywall bits on the floor for over a month. When I decided to move out before my lease, the woman in the main office told me that I was responsible for the remainder of the lease but they are overwhelmed with calls for 1 bed apts, so if they sign on another lessee, they would not accept rent from 2 parties at once. Then I was charged for damages in the apartment despite my security deposit, which I paid. Then I received a notice in the mail 2 weeks later that I had to remit the remainder of my rent or I would forfeit my security deposit, which I did. Now it is over a month later, I have contacted the corporate office over 5 times with voicemails and not only do they dodge my calls, they do not return calls during business hours. I was in email contact with Carmen and she decided to stop responding to both emails and voicemails. I have done literally everything they have asked but yet this company refuses to provide basic customer service. They are dishonest and theiving, please do not waste your time or money here. They have cashed my check for the remainder of rent and are still withholding my security deposit. They will show you no ounce of humanity.

Do not move here what so ever I stayed at river oaks apartments in Dearborn heights and management is a big joke i live there for 7 years every request I put In they never fixed except unclogging my toilet I have pictures of mold that was in my bathroom for a year that they came and repaintEd over then it came back and they never did anything I moved they sent me a letter stating I wasn’t getting my deposit back and I owe them because of damages the carpet was coming up.. I never received my free carpet cleaning ever and I had to buy a carpet cleaner myself
