I don't understand this. But maybe I should of said something, but in away it's ok, just to let you know they lost a customer, a good customer. We constantly buy at Guitar Center for everything for our group and my issue here was, that i had my bass and guitar tuned here before and we were told you don't get charge for that, but today we were charged $20 to get a guitar tuned. I seen he was very busy and a lot of work, but that's exactly for what he gets paid for. Anybody knows anything different.? Roseville What t t they don't know i do reviews and honest reviews... Heres an updated review with some helpful information. Guitar Center is not a great place to buy guitars. They do nothing to ensure the guitars are set up correctly, and they rarely ever come set up correct from the factory. Back in the day guitar shops would inspect and fine tune each guitar before they hung it on the wall. That way it actually stays in tune and plays well. If youre looking to buy a guitar, find a small shop that still cares. Now for repairs, for anything more than a simple string change, find a luthier. I learned the hard way. I was having issues with tuning stability. Guitar Center, Huber and Breeze, and 2 other smaller shops all did a bare minimum, rush job where they slap some strings on, and never diagnose the problem. But they charge you like they did ($100+) only for you to be disappointed. I found an affordable Luthier who actually does the work. Chris Frantz, Clinton Township. He brought my guitars back to life. He builds amazing guitars and can fix anything. He was the 5th person i tried and the only one to put the actual time and effort in. thats why im mentioning him here. i want to save someone the hassle i went through. None of those other places were able to get my guitar to stay in tune after using the whammy bar. That was their assignment and they all failed. pretty basic stuff if you do repairs. they should hang their heads in shame. except for chris frantz.

These guys are almost always on point. There have been a couple of associates in the past that haven't been that great. In the last three or four years though I haven't had a problem at all. I still think their prices are absurd but then again all prices are absurd right now. There are some really good used deals in the building though.
