I am disappointed in the Michigan library arrangement compared to the multilivrary access I enjoyed in Minnesota and DC. The Richland library is pretty nice and near our house but we only get secondary limited borrowing privileges and we are assigned to a one room library setup in Augusta.

I like books on CD and there are many to pick from. New titles are added frequently. There's an almost infinite selection of audiobooks using Hoopla and Libby. I've been able to find books here on almost any subject. I can order books that are not in the library's collection using the loan system. The staff here is very helpful and pleasant. I love my library!

Truly beneficial to the Richland community, the Richland Community Library was organized in 1880 as the community ladies library. Through funding, they had this neoclassical building constructed in 1910, where it passed through different hands until becoming a library once again in the 1980s. Our experience here was positive, with the help of the incredible ladies who work here. The library was far bigger than I would have imagined for a smaller village such as Richland. Downstairs is the children's part, as well as a local history room and a patio to enjoy reading that perfect story outside. Upstairs is the teen and adult part, public computers, and even some books to own through donation. It's well worth stopping in, who knows what story you may uncover!
