The View Waterfront Restaurant

The only reason I gave one star was the actual view out the window!!!! After being seated we waited 20 minutes and NO one took a drink order or even acknowledged us (two of us).We drove from Port Huron to try this place, have NEVER been so disappointed in a business in my life! I will be sure to tell everyone about this experience! Stone Lodge here we come. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I visited the View for lunch on a Tuesday. I ordered a daily special, the Harvest Salad with Wisconsin cheese soup, and my husband ordered a new dish on the menu: country-fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Our food was delicious, we had a broad view of the marina, and the service was fast and friendly too. We asked our server questions about the area, as well as for a recommendation of things to do … and she was right, we DID like the Amish bulk foods store on Germania Road. 🙂 If I ever get back to Port Sanilac from my home in Nebraska, this is the first place I’ll revisit. I can’t wait to see what the specials will be then.

Under new ownership with an abbreviated menu while additional equipment is installed. They plan on offering breakfast down the road. They are waiting on the exhaust system installation so no grill yet. We had the fish hoagie and fried chicken club. Service was good and friendly. Food was great. The chicken club seemed close to a dinner portion breast. Plate presentation was pub style and well presented. We were back recently and the menu has expanded, although not yet complete, and there are additional exciting things I'm hearing about that I won't mention at this point but will definitely add to their business if they come to fruition. Service still good and a panoramic view of Lake Huron from above the marina.
