It is hard getting in contact with the caseworkers here. I tried calling my caseworker for bout a month now and still heard NOTHING then they want to cut you off of everything because they say to reschedule a phone interview within a certain amount of days and ive been trying to do so and left over 5 messages and STILL NO CALL back....

I received food assistance and now I owe 4k due to them making a mistake! I was honest gave them my situation and everything they needed including pay stubs, now they want every penny back because they gave me assistance when they should have never been given to me! If I would have known I would have never tried getting help from the state!!!! They are a joke and need people in there that know what they are doing !! Because their mistakes make our living situations worse not better !!!!

I've given them proof that I'm on temporary disability and they're cutting me off "said I didn't comply"! I have not spoken to my care worker I've called and called left so many messages went into the dhs office no help! A lot of other people I know they're not doing this and have been on food stamps longer then I have and don't need the help! To get help now from them or to speak to them won't happen! I need my health insurance I'm a type 1 diabetic and need my insulin! I don't make much from workmen comp to also pay for food or health insurance! The service here is just so horriable Lansing needs to start hiring people that care and wanna help others!

This place is very judgmental toward everyone who applies for help. The recent. Issue is how can u NOT include my rent as a bill i pay omg its the biggest bill, i have dropped plenty of paperwork saying i cant work since feb, no help with rental assistance but my bills were current at the time i applied, by the time i got the denial it was 3 months later and told sorry policy and procedure dont see circumstances, constantly being told how many people are on her case load Again if you dont like your job find another one, if it is too much for you too help ppl in need find another job. I lost my job due to medical issues, i was told unfortunately you have to be evicted before we can help you so of course i still get denied because i have no income ummm duh thats why i came too you for help i wouldnt need ya if i had an income hmmm but now being told to borrow from a family member really! If i knew some one i could barrow 3 months rent plus attorney fees and late fees from why the hell would i go to dhhs for help to become more in debt than when i started, too be looked at as if im trash and how long does it really take for a medical board too determine my cash assistantance
