Yesterday, I visited the Hillsdale Kroger store and as i approached the checkout there was one cashier assisting customers and her lane light was off. A woman in front of me approached the cashiers line cautiously and asked me if she was open. I said I do not know but we can ask. I asked the cashier maam are you open to which she replied just get in line. If I have a few items I do not mind at all using self checkout. With $145 I am not using self checkout. The cashier did not greet me or speak to me at all following her just get in line. I asked her to call a manager to her register. She asked can I start ringing up your groceries to which I replied yes please do. Two women approached the register and asked me what I needed. One woman was older with blonde/white hair and the second was a young blonde woman. They initially identified themselves as managers and then denied it when I asked why they could not assist on a register so customers with a basket full of groceries could avoid self checkout. The older woman had a clear negative attitude toward my question and actually looked elsewhere while speaking to me and then she said thank you and walked away. I have worked in customer service and am aware of the challenges that employees face with being short staffed and the demands of all the inner workings. I am also aware that we as customers are paying more for food then ever before and I do not believe it is too much to ask, that a single person be available to assist customers who choose not to go through self checkout. It is unacceptable for a person in leadership to speak to a customer in the manner I was spoken to. Without customers the stores would close and while all departments are important, no task should come before customer service. I hope this is not the norm for how Kroger treats its customers.

Had a wonderful shopping experience at the Kroger Store on Bristol Rd.,Flint, Mi. today (5-20-23). The store is very well stocked with many choices. I was very pleased to find Kroger brand items I had never seen before in any Kroger in the city. The store was very clean, and all shelves were neatly stacked. Employees were pleasant and helpful.

Never shop online with Kroger. First of all the items were substituted without any notification. I physically went I store to check and all items were in stock . Afterwords when I checked my bill its charged triple . I called customer service they offered refund of $5 (when the total was supposed to be $16.98 and charged me $44) they give you run around and when I told them I just want to return everything and want a refund. They said they have to process online and I cant do that . Seriously. Never ever shop at Kroger . This would be last time that I would shop here

I go to the Krogers in Pontiac Trail at 8 mile. I cannot believe that you guys have those managers going out in the parking lot and getting grocery carts. That is ridiculous that you dont pay your employees enough and have a proper staffing for these people total shame.
