A caseworker drove Ben, who is 22 with cognitive impairments, to her sister's house, left him with another young man who could not communicate, in the car while she went inside and hung out with her sister. Ben is my boyfriend's son. We dropped him off for one night, as he is preparing for independent living. He was upset when we picked him up.my boyfriend filed a complaint. The state regulatory agency is investigating the incident. We got no apology from the home - Hickory Grove in Bloomfield Hills. They did not seem to think it was a problem; we think it's abuse!
