This is a scam. I was sent a letter with all the information filled out for Medicaid and I was to text this information to Miss Blake is what she called herself. They wanted access to all of our medical records. You should never be texting your social number to anyone anyway. If you get a letter or phone call. Disregard. Report. Horrible way to prey on people that may not the skills to be able to discern from legitimate information.

I have received an abhorrent amount of phone calls, emails, a letter in the mail and finally a text (which my response would hopefully make them stop) They were harassing me by this point. They would bait me into calling them back by leaving vague messages saying we are calling about your daughters recent hospital visit. we have new information and it is very important you call us back immediately. So, of course I did.. When calling back the person didnt give me any information about themselves or why they were calling.. (weird..) and demanded my daughters information!! i said listen, I dont know you or your company I am not giving out her info. I am not sure WHY they continued to harass me for WEEKS asking questions they DO NOT have authority to obtain. Whatsoever. The last person I talked to said they had access to U of M Health hospitals records and I said Good!!!! I already gave them all the info they need! why are you calling me! and finally I told them that I will no longer be harassed and they finally (hopefully) have stopped. This company is absurd and shame on U of M health for using them.

Our funeral home received a call from Linda Blake saying she was from U of M Health West and requested info on the next of kin for a family we served because the hospital did not have contact info. It is our funeral home policy to not give any personal information out. I called the number back and was told Independent Medical Networks does work with Medicaid. They did not know why Linda would have asked for that info. and the receptionist was going to pass the message on to Linda and her supervisor.

I went to the hospital in December, 2013. I did not have insurance. A representative came to my room with some forms for Medicaid. I did not want to receive the services. A couple of days later, the rep came back & told me I had to fill out the forms. I filled them out, then notified the rep a couple of days later not to process the forms & not to send my information on to DHS. She not only continued my application, she illegally applied for Medicaid for my daughter. I never authorized her to do this. Plus, she was told that my daughter was already receiving Medicaid. She overstepped any legal authority she had to make this request. To add onto the absurdity, I was just informed today that this person was named my daughter's legal guardian by DHS!! This had nothing to do with the rep, but also shows absurdity within DHS & Medicaid. Because now, I cannot even discuss my daughter's Medicaid situation with the Medicaid offices, because there is a legal guardian. If this rep had not stuck her nose where it was not invited, we would not be in this situation.
