I refinanced my mortgage and Title Partners was the title company that my mortgage company used. The closing went fine, they came to my house, went through all the documents with me and it went good. A few months pass and I receive a city tax bill and a homeowners insurance bill. These were to be paid at closing. It turns out Title Partners made a mistake, and a portion of the money I received back from my refinance was suppose to be sent to my homeowners insurance by the title company, and was not. When I called, the representative said, We werent told to pay any homeowners insurance. even though its clearly included on my closing disclosure. So now I have to come up with the money to pay for my homeowners insurance because of their mistake. So beware of mistakes like this if you are using them for your refinance or home purchase.
