One of the absolute worst experiences of my entire life.

Decent practice for managing meds, sometimes it's hard because there's not a lot of guidance for talking specifically about my mental health.

I have been diagnosed and suffer from PTSD...I saw a student at "Trinity Health" at the Schoolcraft Campus...Michigan. I saw a student who interacted with me very briefly during my visit...I asked for a refill for my Klonapin .5 mg twice daily or when needed...they refused !! I went to 4 appointments and then stopped....!! My last appointment I explained that I had a pretty rough PTSD attack..Mr. Caras, the student, just looked at me...!! He did say when I was leaving to call him if I considered Suicide....There are no words...absolutely no words to describe this experience. They had no problem billing me though.

Refuses to prescribe me anxiety meds that do work for me and offered a medicine that does not work for me and didn't bother to try to work on an alternative just said ok well call if you're in crisis and tried to schedule a follow up. I have no history of drug abuse and am going psychologist route due to me not being able to use my medical cannabis anymore from pregnancy. They would rather give you tons of antidepressants and otherwise instead of treating the symptoms you actually have. I've also been diagnosed since I was 14 with adhd and left untreated for over 10 years and they refuse to treat me for that either. Not willing to work with you when you've taken psych meds for years and all of them have given different side effects that are miserable. They would rather have you stay anxious and depressed than prescribe something you know helps.

I highly recommend you avoid this office and these doctors. I am shocked that they don't empathize with their patients. How could someone choose this particular field, if they don't want to show an ounce of compassion and care to their patients? I was seeing a 2nd year resident last year and I wanted to continue seeing him, but he was only seeing patients one day a week and i couldn't accommodate that with my schedule, so I requested to see another resident. I was very displeased with him, again, not showing any care, compassion, or empathy. It's as if you're seeing a robot and they are checking boxes. After my appointment, I requested to see an Attending doctor and shared my concerns with the front desk staff about the appointment and experience. The staff member told me she would get back with me. A few days later, she told me she spoke with the practice manager and the Attending, and they said I HAD TO CONTINUE SEEING THE SAME RESIDENT!!! You are boxed in to seeing inexperienced, uncaring residents (I was placed with a first year resident who graduated less than 6 months ago). She was so kind to offer me "other resources for me to go to." I am completely appalled by this situation. It's obvious they don't care about their patients. I'll try another office and hope I can find someone who will show care, compassion and accommodate me with the medical care and respect I deserve.
