Citizens bank on Middlebelt Rd has excellent customer service. They definitely deserve 5 stars in my opinion. Very friendly people......

Deposited a check. It was returned. Went into the branch to find out what happened. Confusion 1) They didn't even try to look at it told me the issue was with the issuer. Talked with the issuer and no problem. Went back to branch. Confusion 2) they didn't want to be bothered to do research. When they did said it was the check image couldn't be read. Mind you I brought the check into that branch to cash and have a picture of it. Check was clear so scanner problem is their issue. Manager by the name of Deanna came over. Extremely rude. Said she didn't have time although only one other person was in the bank. Said to bring the copy when I got in the mailbox and they could resolve. Sounds like BS. Confusion 3) I called 800 # they researched. Said issue was account number couldn't be read. Wasn't sure what the check image issue was and why branch would need me to bring what they already had. I escalated issued to the chairman review..which basically means nothing.Confusion 4). Went back to branch, with check copy. Also produced my picture of check with clear acct #. Even though I was told it could be resolved. It can't. Have to get another check from issuer and go through all this again. Horrible bank, terrible branch. Deanna has no idea what customer service is.
