Dr Luea has been my Dr for over 20 years. I totally trust him. He found my cancer and saved my life. Delivered both my grandchildren, found my father in laws cancer which extended his life 11/2 years. He is the kindest most caring person I know. He listens to you and has extensive knowledge. I could never thank him enough for his care of myself and my family. God Bless you and your Staff Dr Luea.

Dr Luea, M D, is an excellent, professional, caring, intelligent Family Practice physician. I am thankful for his Christian caring spirit. Dr. Luea spends time with each patient, and so you do need to be aware to not be in a hurry and take your phone to text, and a book to read. But, when it is your turn, he WILL spend the time with you. God bless you, Dr. Luea. Judy Magee, Grateful Patient.

I was so excited to begin seeing Dr. Luea. He was always kind, knowledgeable and took more time than I believe he had to be attentive to my needs. The medication he was prescribing me was one I had been on fairly consistently for about 8 years. It was a prescribed controlled substance. I took the medication as prescribed, but unfortunately the med was no longer effective as it once was. As I began noticing my symptoms worsen, my life simultaneously began to fall apart. I began missing work regularly as a result of going days with very little and sometimes no sleep. My professional and personal productivity noticeably began suffered. My weight loss began to become drastic. From 210 down to 174. On my last legs and ultimately my last appointment, I begged Dr. Luea to increase my dose from 1MG to 2 MG for the same medication or put me on something potentially more effective. He told me take the rest of what I had and take more if I needed then he would refill the medication once it was out. Thus my needing to come back in less than two weeks in order to receive the amended script per policy. What he was telling me without saying so is he had stereotyped me as a drug seeker. I discovered this in his case notes from the second appointment I saw him prior to the next year I had him as my physician. After realizing he was not putting refills on my scripts even when I asked and he acknowledged, he didnt do so. This happened on at least two occasions. He is either scatterbrained or was trying to make more money by writing me a medication he was capable of putting refills on, and not doing so therefore I would have to visit his office within a month on those occasions just to get my script for that month. Basically, this otherwise good doctor did not have a backbone to tell me he was not comfortable with me taking this medication, yet he prescribed it to me for over a year without question. He stereotyped me as a drug seeker because I had asked him to put me on a medication that helped me stay asleep and therefore able to function and do so quite successfully. I stormed out of my last appointment when he refused to increase my medication. I was scared, frustrated and angry with his lack of compassion based on his prejudice of me taking this medication. I was out of my mind at this point and contacted reception by phone to say I didnt want to see Dr. Luea and I needed to just find pills on the street in the future. First, I could not do without a physician at the time and second I wouldnt even know nor would I risk buying pills from anywhere, but a pharmacy. I called the next day to apologize for my statements and left a message saying that what I said was out of anger and no truth was behind me no longer wanting to see my physician and I never had intentions or capability to take medications from the street and I would take a drug test to back that up. I begged again for help. My message and subsequent messages were never returned. I learned a week ago Dr. Luea dismissed me immediately from the practice and refused to provide me with any medication which at this point I was undergoing symptoms of post acute withdrawal, which can lead to seizures not to mention the overall quality of life issues I was having. Once again I begged to the office manager to have my situation re evaluated and see if I could receive enough medication to get me through to my next appointment with a new physician. Dr. Luea refused to give me enough medication knowing at this point I had none left and my withdrawals would continue. This is an unethical act on several levels. Any medical journal recommends this type of medication should never be stopped abruptly and therefore he in my opinion was obligated to titrate me down from this drug seekers medication. I think he refused to cover himself due to my dumb and irrational statement, but to make that decision almost two months later, I have to believe it was out of spite coupled with a lack of backbone. Sure didnt live up to his good reputation he has and the rapport I had built with him. Very sad.
