These ppl never answer the phone, an you would be extremely lucky if you receive a call back. I don't think I will continue to seek
advocacy for my son here. If they don't even respond after months of calling, I can't imagine they care much... I feel like this is probably part of why the special education statistics in Michigan are the lowest in the nation (according to the US department of education). No advocacy for Montcalm county SMH.. I'm sure there many more counties that are uncovered an these ppl are supposed to help and they don't.. you guys have one job o.o is this even a real place? Cuz it seems like no one works there. SMH!! In my opinion of course.
Edit* after about 3+ months I did get a response an received a wonderful advocate for my son.. if they seem unresponsive, just keep trying. Eventually they will contact you an point you in the direction of an advocate for your area.. I'm glad to have my son's advocate, I don't feel bullied by the school (trying to take accomodations away from my child) when she's there, because she knows what to say an she has the same interests I do an that's making sure my children are receiving what they are entitled to an need an she doesn't allow the school to make unethical decisions. Very glad to have our advocate. Thank you alliance for families.. please work on your application process for it takes a long time to hear back in my opinion.
