I have used a four stage blue pump on a KB 572 Hemi in my road race car for twelve years with absolutely no problems. At first sight I was wondering how the hobbed, beveled gears could possibly hold up but they have. On a race weekend, we get 8 to 10 thirty minute sessions on track. Typically the 40 weight Redline oil is around 120 degrees farinheght when I go out and by 1800 rpm the oil pressure is pegged at 100 psi. A few laps later with the temperature up to 220 the pressure at 3000 rpm is 70 to 75 psi and stays there. My bearings are beautiful . I use one of the scavage circuits to pull oil from the front and back of each Stage Five head to drain oil. Without this, gallons of oil was staying up there by the end of a long straight. After 3 inspections over the years, I have found no wear even visible in the beveled drive gears! They look like new. I would not hesitate to use one of these pumps made by Steve Lanius in a street car which gets lots of use. I don't see how you could ever wear it out.
