American Jiffy Tax

We tried their services out for the first time last year, and it was the least stressful tax season of my life. I would definitely recommend them, and we are planning on going back this year.

I have had my taxes done with American JIffy Tax for years. The staff is very professional and personable. And I get business ideas from Brad every year.

In the past four years I have both done my taxes myself (2013 with TurboTax) and had them done by someone else (2011-2012). Until this year (2014) I thought I was doing a good job. I began this year by using H&R Block software, which is when I realized that I messed some things up last year (2013). At that point, I took the H&R Block office up on their Second Look offer, where they found that I missed out on about $400 in taxes in 2013, for which they would happily charge me $169 to get back. I also found, from the H&R Block software, that I underpaid taxes for 2014 by almost $3,000. I was referred to American Jiffy Tax by a family member and decided to give it a try. Now anyone can get you a lot back on your taxes (by doing them wrong), but my concern is with accuracy. I made an appointment and in two hours (about one fourth the amount of time I had spent to that point on 2014 with the software) they went from start to finish over both this years and last years taxes, found that I had actually overpaid last year (2013) by about $1,500 and underpaid this year (2014) by $1,500, not $3,000. More importantly it was explained to me (in plain English) what I had done wrong last year, what needed to be done this year, and what needs to be done in the future. They e-filed what could be e-filed and handed me completed forms and per-addressed envelopes to be mailed for what couldn't be e-filed. The records were expertly and orderly given to me to file upon completion. This was seriously the easiest tax filing I have ever done. It was well worth the price to save all of that time, let alone money, on filing my own taxes. There is no doubt in my mind that next year my tax filing will be going to American Jiffy Tax!
