I went in to the store with my wife in early December to get her a Christmas Gift, but they didnt have the right size available. Wanting to support a local business, we asked if they could order it for us, paid for it and were told us theyd call when it comes in. The store did not contact me for 6 weeks. Not only did they not call to inform me that the item wouldnt arrive by the expected date, but they didnt offer even a hint of an apology during any of the times I had to call in to inquire about the order. I had hoped to just speak with the owner about my disappointment of his service, however when I went in to pick up the shoes and speak with him he wouldnt give me the time of day. No greeting or just a moment from him or the other employees when I came in and stood by the counter waiting for several minutes. When he finally spared a few seconds to acknowledge me and get my order info he went to the back to grab it, then came out moments later and began helping another customer without a word to me. Found out a couple minutes later he had passed me off to another employee without bothering to tell me. My experience is that Millers Shoes is unfriendly, uncommunicative, and certainly doesnt care about leaving you with a good experience. A lot of issues can be excused when a business makes up for problems or at least offers an apology. Millers Shoes not only poorly delivered their services but also failed to step up when the opportunities arose to make things right. I like supporting local businesses where I can, but Millers Shoes gave me compelling reasons to just shop online.
