Indianhead Ironwood

We had a great 4 nights at the Indianhead Motel in Ironwood, Wisconsin. Tarun, the new owner, was very responsive, available, and friendly. Everything was neat and clean. Always a great, reasonable place to stay for easy access to ABR, snowmobile trails, and/or the downhill ski resorts. Plus, the sauna was nice after a day of skiing.

Ideal place to stay while Nordic skiing at ABR. Quiet rooms, firm mattresses, and full length bathtubs perfect for hot soaking after a day on the trails.

Facilities were spotless. The several staff I came into contact with were friendly and attentive; they even pushed another guest's car out of a snowbank. The proprietor happily accommodated my last-minute Covid-impacted reservation changes. And the Finnish sauna was great!

Attitude and quality of service is what it takes. Even being used to be greeted properly at hotels this time we were a bit amused. The way owner welcomed us was above any expectations. Everything in the room worked as expected, it was clean and warm (we are talking about winter trip). There was no microwave in our room (we booked the small room just for two of us and that was disclosed, no issue for us. If needed, I am pretty sure owner will be glad to accommodate your extra needs. Just don't think I am having any interest in advertising this hotel - its my very first stay there and very first encounter with owner and personnel. Really impressed. Not to mention location - hotel is located and the end of Ironwood close to all ski resorts and Wolverine trails.
