La Probadita Mercado y Taqueria

This is literally the best authentic Mexican food in the area, honestly its probably the best food in general for Hart. Its always so good, fast, fresh, filling and CHEAP. I could eat a tostada here every day for the rest of my life and die happy. Love their beans but the way they do pork is amazing. Quesadillas are always perfectly flaky and crispy, fair warning the hot salsa is like HOT hot but its good. Love that they have grilled jalapeos as a side. Also the market is great, a lot of options here and Im always impressed with produce, the prices and how nice the people are. They are cash only but they have an atm up front!

I love the food here, but the restaurant hours are not posted correctly nor do they follow the mercado hours. Predicting when the taqueria will be open is tough. I usually get a busy tone when I try to call. Also, they dont post the prices for anything. No idea how the cashier comes up with my total, but its always higher than I expect. Cash only is inconvenient. I brought these issues to the attention of the owner/manager, and he just sat there on his stool, drinking a beer, clearly disinterested.

Hella good. Exactly what you expect out of a good small town Hispanic establishment. They have a decent assortment of mexican candies as well
