Wow...Sensei travels to Japan to study and enrich. Doesn't get any better or professional. Instructor has young son so caters to children and professionalism of adults desires. Highly reccomend!

This is a wonderful place to train for both adults and children. The Sensei and black belt coaches are all very patient yet challenging to the children. They also lead very well for the adult classes.

I have been training at West Michigan Martial Arts and Holistic Health for over six years now. I can say that this is the premier place to train in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu in southwest Michigan. Sensei Konopka and the coaching staff are very knowledgeable in the arts the Bujinkan have to offer. If you are looking for the best place to train for traditional Japanese martial arts. This is the place. 10/10! Love this place.

I have been training in the martial arts for the better part of 10 years now. The previous 5 years have all been with Sesei Konopka at the West Michigan Martial Arts & Holistic Health dojo. My time and experiences here have been nothing short of life changing for me. I have learned not only ways to physically protect myself and my loved ones but have learned to live a fuller, more compassionate, and patient life. I can honestly say, that without the teachings that I have from here, I would not be as happy with my life as I am today. The students and coaches are all great people from varying backgrounds and walks of life. It is a joy to see all the different ages that we have here working together. The youth classes are kept energetic and fun while still teaching them complex movements that most adults have a hard time doing. You can also see as time passes how the discipline and focus that is instilled on them really begins to take shape and form them as they make their way up to being young adults themselves. As for the adult classes I have gained skills that I never could have dreamed of previously. I have gained some of the best friends that I could ever ask for, that will remain a part of me forever. I have gained a martial arts family where originally I was only looking to learn how to fight. Speaking of family, this is a super family friendly environment. Sensei's wife (Tracy) and kids can often be found at the dojo during classes. Tracy always has a smile waiting for you and is one of the most genuine and caring people you will ever meet. Bottom line, I love this place and will continue to train here for as long as I am able to.
