Was pre approved on the home side for a significant loan amount. Eventually went to commercial for a loan of a similar amount, to try and buy the building my business is in. Only to have Jack refuse to consider funds in my business accounts as income for a down payment. Wasted weeks of my time when I had a short deadline to say "he couldn't support my loan" . The result, I lost the building and a prime location for my business, lost thousands of dollars in lost profits and moving expenses.

Put a retail presence in Lansing if you're going to try and capture all the lending business there. Give me a break. I can have my mortgage through LMCU on a house in Lansing but I can't cash a check? Last I checked Lansing was part of Michigan.

Just tried to deposit a $7900.00 check in my VIP account. We have 3 mortgages with this institution. This check was issued by our insurance co. for roof damage from a recent storm. They refused to deposit the check and I was told the mortgage department would need the invoice estimate from the insurance company. ??? So, we wasted a trip to this office. It's not like I wanted to cash the check and put it in my pocket...IT WAS A DEPOSIT! So sick of the incompetence of this place and the ridiculous hoops they want you to jump through. Meeting with the roofing contractor on this coming Tuesday..who will, of course, want his 50% down payment, which I will have to take out of my IRA (and pay taxes on it to boot) because the office is closed on Monday and God knows how long it will take the mortgage department to verify the validity of the insurance check. The last mortgage I took out with LMCU was for a short sale. They dicked around with inspections for over 3 months until the house actually went into foreclosure which ended up costing me another 2000 in expenses. They are the worst people to deal with for mortgages and they treat their long time customers like idiots. I'm selling my primary home this spring. Not only will that mortgage be gone but, after our experience today, I am going to pay off my remaining mortgages and they can kiss 20 years of interest payments goodbye. Not the best financial decision but that's how bad I want out of this relationship with these yahoos.
