The most horrible customer service Ive never felt worse, I was not even able to get my rental that I had a reservation for.

It was not a great experience for my 1st time renting from Budget. I usually rent from Enterprise or Hertz. Our vehicle was reserved weeks in advance and wasn't clean & ready upon arrival. It had 2 chips in the windshield and chalk writing on the drivers side rear slide door. The back seats were dirty, and the front passenger seat was covered in pet hair. The vehicle seats 7 but only had 2 usb chargers, so it's just a basic model for a mini van. So make sure and bring a multi port adapter. We were charged for 3 days but only reserved for 2 and didn't catch it until we returned it 2 days later. Customer service was very understanding and did refund for the 3rd day, and as a gesture of hood faith, they gave me a $60 refund. I would rent from Budget again, but not this location.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I was supposed to rent a car to travel for work. This facility opens at 9AM, however, I had requested an early pick up because I had meetings I needed to drive to. The place didn't open until 9:15AM, and then they told me I couldn't leave my personal car on the property. They said I was going to have to leave it in the McDonald's or Woodland Mall parking lot for the 3 days I'd be gone. In the end I told them to just keep their car. Terrible experience that totally inconvenienced my work trip.

We planned a great trip out west - a bucket list trip. We rented an Explorer from Budget. When we picked it up, the car had about 9000 miles on it, so we were pretty happy. On the first day, we started getting messages that we needed an oil change. On the second day, the gas gage broke. We had to constantly calculate how much gas we had used, and filled up every 300 miles to make sure we didnt run out. That necessitated buying gas at whatever price they were asking, so we were always paying more for gas than we would have had we been able to shop around. This continued for the remainder of our trip. Finally, we arrived in Arizona close to our final destination, the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Arizona. We left one morning for the Grand Canyon, got about five miles up the road, when we began getting a message that the car was having a mechanical failure. We couldnt go any further, so we returned to our hotel. My husband contacted the road service number provided on our service agreement. We were told that we would have a replacement car first thing in the morning from the Budget office at the Flagstaff airport. We did not get a car until after 4:00 the following day, following multiple calls to the office. As a result, we spent two days without a car, and never got to the Grand Canyon or Sedona because we had to leave by the time we got the car. When we returned, we explained to Budget the multiple problems we had, and the extra expenses we had to absorb, not to mention that one of the most important parts of our trip had to cancelled because we didnt have a car. The only compensation we were offered was a voucher for a vehicle for two days. This was worthless to us. We have no plans to rent a car anytime in the near future, and it certainly will never be with Budget again. We complained to our credit card company, who pursued it to the extent they could, but Budget LIED to them, claiming we had never contacted them with our issues. In the end, we had a ruined vacation, we paid rental for two days for which we didnt even have a car, and we had additional expenses in the form of hotel charges and additional meals. We will never use Budget again, and will certainly tell anyone we know how badly we were treated.
