Great dentist office. Jami is super nice! I was reluctant to change dentist offices when my origional office stopped taking my insurance. I gave Dental Care Team Fenton a try because of how great the reviews are, and I am glad I did.

So, this review is going to be a bit complicated to write, but I will explain. When I went, the elderly male dentist who is bald with glasses, I forgot what his name was and he is not on their website, checked my teeth to see if I needed my wisdom teeth removed. The nice woman who was doing my x-rays was good, and I did not have an issue with her. I had absolutely nothing but issues the second this man came in. Before my appointment started, I made sure to explain my problems. I have severe anxiety issues, and my wisdom teeth were in so much pain I could not eat. When he was looking at my teeth, he was horribly rough, to the point with how hard he pressed his metal tool into every section of my gums, it hurt so badly I went into a very bad anxiety attack and was crying a lot. He did not stop, or anything. I was incapable of telling him to stop at this point, even though I desperately wanted to. When he finally finished, he apologized for hurting me. I would have understood, HOWEVER this man for the rest of my appointment, AS WELL as the scheduling of my teeth cleaning, he did not accept anything that I said. He completely belittled and ignored me trying to explain how I could not eat because of the pain, which he proceeded to say since I waited so long to try to remove them that I can wait another year. I tried to tell him that the only reason I waited was because I had no way to get it done. Yes, this has been an ongoing problem with my wisdom teeth for over two years. I have been unable to do anything about it because of issues with insurance, and moving three times. He did not listen at all to it. He did not care. Fine. I can go to someone else. But he proceeded to do this until I left. At the desk when I was trying to schedule my teeth cleaning, I was speaking to the woman about ways I could get my teeth pulled, and places to go. This man walks up and proceeded to say I need to get my teeth cleaned and then we can look into the removal. The cleaning was a good bit of time away, I could not eat, I was in severe pain. So no, putting it off was not an option. I finally finished scheduling the cleaning, just to get it over with. Once I can find out his name, I will absolutely be calling to make a formal complaint. He is apparently a substitute, according to an employee that I spoke with when I went back for the cleaning. Either way, I will be doing it. He should absolutely, with no shadow of a doubt in my mind, lose his license and never be allowed in the field again. This was beyond unacceptable, unprofessional, unhelpful, just all around horrific. It was a major disgrace to dental workers who do their job, and do it well. For this, it deserves 1 star, simply because negative stars are not an option. However, this next part is why it has 3. THE GOOD PART: When I went back to get my cleaning done, I talked to the woman at the front desk. I explained my problems, and what happened last time. I told her I did not want the last guy to have anything to do with my cleaning. She completely understood, and spoke with the woman who was going to be doing my cleaning. The last worker who made this appointment for me helped me out tremendously by getting me "happy gas" to help my anxiety for the cleaning and the teeth pains. This desk woman, I am now very disappointed with because she seems to have given me false information in a way. My anxiety is to the point that my only sedation option for my wisdom teeth removal is with an IV. She made me believe that taking a pill similar to xanax would be enough. I spoke to an employee at another location that I went to after this appointment, who informed me it was incorrect information and told me the truth. So for the desk woman who gave me information that was incorrect, I would probably give 1 star, because it may have been an accident and not intentional. I am unsure. But to the good. The woman who did my teeth cleaning was an absolute godsend. Not only did my anxiety not get triggered, but she did very well. She was professional, helpful, friendly, skilled, and deserves 5 stars.
