After a bill that amounted to $2300 one might think they got something in return. I must make one thing clear, prior to taking my vehicle I asked if they do these kind of maintenance services on vehicles. Of to which they said they did. I provided David with a list of things to inspect of to which were as follows: inspection For leaks and suspension, And fine tuning(car was running and drivable), and a wheel alignment. David disassembled the generator a reassembled it (Which was not on the list) please note the charging system was working. I was notified that the charging system was faulty and that he could continue to investigate the issue at $100 buck an hour. I declined. And criticized for not allowing them to do the work. After receiving the car back the fault was the caused by the repair on the generator. Attempt to discuss the issue resulted in a no call no show. No apologies nor attempts to reimburse the service. Michelle (wife and secretary of David) claimed that they were reluctant to have work performed by owners and that they generally do jobs from start to finish. And I should have had them diagnose the problem. They claim that on the release form that they will be held accountable for workmanship???? In all all that was done was : adjust carb setting. Remove and reinstall leaf spring. Told I had leaks (no repair) and a half job of a wheel alignment. Oh yes, And a broken charging system. By the way I was told that after the initial service done on the leaf springs an additional 4 hours for rework. 8 hours later it cost 4 hours $400 for an alignment? In the end I personally will not be returning my vehicle for service.

One of the best auto restoration shops in the country! Davids knowledge and passion are self evident. His work is second to none. Hes taken care of my 1969 triumph for years now, and weve been incredibly happy with both his performance and responsiveness. Cant recommend him highly enough.

Awesome. Period. Simply an awe-inspiring small group of professionals whole-heartedly dedicated to detailed, diligent and masterly thorough work. I have my Mercedes there now and have flown there twice from California to check on the progress. Genuine and enthusiastic, David is quite literally a Renaissance man who knows more about vintage automobiles than anyone I have ever met. His detailed knowledge spans a plethora of foreign vehicle makes spanning more decades than I have been alive (which is more than I care to reveal). Most impressive is his desire and commitment to rejuvenating and maintaining rides from that golden era of automobiles (well before today) comprising good drivability, functional style, mechanical excellence, and simplicity derived from genius. We'll never see new cars like this again, those that were designed to be handled, manipulated, heard, felt, that challenged us to make the most of what they offered, even if that meant less than stellar horsepower numbers or tire traction (ever more the challenge than todays do-it-all-for-you rolling automatons). David and his crew know this. They get it and it shows. So whether your old ride is something unique and rare or a bit more pedestrian that is sentimental for any reason, contact European Auto Restoration, and let them work their magic for you. You will not be disappointed. Ferris Lewald 1984 Mercedes 300 TD-T
