We took our German Shepard here after we got denied at our home emergency vet hospital. We drove 1 1/2 hours. They took our dog right away and kept coming back giving us updates and asking us lots of questions. They kept him over night and called us three times to give us more updates. We picked him up after about 24hours. Everyone we talked with was so nice to us and our dog. Without them our dog would have died. I would bring my pets here if I ever had to again.

DO NOT GO HERE! Took our dog for his awful congestion. When he came home he was throwing up pieces of a Latex glove that came from THEM! Tried to explain to someone and they hung up on us. Terrible place.

I have always used MSU Veterinary Services for all my pets (horses, dogs, cats). I have used all their services from oncology, emergency, internal medicine, etc. I have always had the upmost respect and trust in MSU, until now. They have always been reliable and great with my pets, except now! On Sunday (12/12/21), I took my asthmatic cat there with an upper respiratory infection and other breathing problems and was turned away. I even called before going there to make sure that it was the right thing to do. I told the man on the phone that I was 2 hours away and he told me to bring my cat to MSU. He never warned me that they were not accepting anymore patients and that they were at capacity. After 2 hours of driving, I arrived at MSU only to be told that my cat needed to be seen by an emergency vet and that I was doing the right thing by seeking emergency care but they would not see her. I was given a sheet with all the emergency vets in Michigan and told to start calling/driving. I tried to have them at least give her some care or shot because of what I was told on the phone, but the doctors refused. They recommended Greater Lansing Veterinary Center (GLVC) because it was the closest. This was the best thing they did for me! GLVC was fantastic! I will be going there from now on! I do not understand how MSU can turn away an animal in need after they, themselves, told me to go there. I have completely lost all respect and trust in MSU! If you truly love your pets, please go to GLVC first, so this situation doesn't happen to you! GLVC was very compassionate, caring, and helpful! They were also very reasonable in cost, much less than MSU would have charged me!

Had to say good bye to our dog there as he was struggling with renal failure. The staff was kind, quick, and sympathetic. I will never forget the kindness they showed in such a vulnerable and hard moment. Thank you again.
