Barnett Kantz, DO

I went to see dr. Kantz about my potential ADHD. I was diagnosed and medicated throughout my childhood and adolescence. My chief complaint was of lack of focus/scatter-brained. The Dr. had me fill out some test pamphlets. He then told me that he thought I was bipolar and referred me to a phychiatrist (I later found out that the Dr. that he referred me to has not been in the Monroe office for 2 years, according to the phone # that Kantz's office gave me). In our 5 minute conversation, Kantz deducted that I was bipolar, but never addressed or asked questions about my chief complaint. I did my own ADHD research and found my own testing facility, no thanks to Kantz. My visit to Kantz was a waste of time and money. This is the second time that I have visited Kantz about an issue and felt as though I was given the 3rd degree (first time being my decades old carpal tunnel issues). In my opinion, Kantz is arrogant and condescending. And irresponsible to label someone with a Personality Disorder after a 5 minute conversation. I have since found help (on my own) for my ADHD. I sought clinical testing (QEEG, TOVA, MMPI-2) on my own. The results showed that I do, indeed, have ADHD... Not Bi Polar disorder. I have also found a new "Home" Dr that will listen and help me with my medical needs. I will never go back to Kantz.

Gets right to the point. Very direct. My first visit with him and he set a clear path. For the reviews that say he is arrogant, I would disagree. Confident in his process. Former ER doc, so he has his methodology and approach. If you want a lot of hemming and hawing, he may not be for you. I look forward to having him as my primary care. Also a great office staff and nurse team. While maybe a doctor visit is not necessarily “enjoyable” this was a great complete team, from check in, initial evaluation by a nurse, and then focused time with the doctor. Quick check out.

I have honestly never met anyone as condescending and rude as Dr. Kantz. I will never go to him again. Also, they are complete liars. They told me they faxed a form to my employer, but when my employer informed me they had not received it, the drs. office told me they did not have a fax number (then how could they have faxed it like they told me they had?). They are also freaking scammers. Coded my visit completely wrong, which meant a MUCH higher cost for me, even though they told me (and i have written documentation from them confirming this) that it was coded correctly as a regular office visit. These people are horrible, if you can stay far away from them you'd be doing yourself a favor.

Great staff made me feel very welcome and Dr. Kantz is a funny dude. So happy i found a good Doctor so close to home

Dr Kanz is my favorite , he listens to my problems and is always so kind !
