went there for a check up, i was exposed to someone with covid over a week ago, i told them that over the phone before i came and they said the doctor would still see me. i got there, planned by whole day around it and they refused to see me OR test me for covid. also they don’t have any parking. if you’re downtown, avoid this place. they’re disorganized and lack communication. & they’ll waste your time.

I was a patient with Dr. Kotsis when we was with Henry Ford. Once I found out Dr. Kotsis left HF I followed him to beaumont riverfront. He's taken care of me for almost 10 years. Dr. Kotsis himself is an amazing person and doctor along with his staff. I even changed my son from a Pediatric Dr to Dr. Kotsis whom is amazing with my son along with staff.

I have never had a long wait and have never had to be there longer than necessary. Dr. Kotsis is friendly and expresses positive thoughts as he sees my health improving. He's thorough with the bloodwork and substance abuse screening. He doesn't take guesses. If there's a problem, he sends me to a specialist. He prescribes the proper medications, without over prescribing or suggesting I try some new experimental drugs. 1 example that sets him apart from other doctors I've seen is that he doesn't prescribe anti-depressants when I only suffer from anxiety. Depression and anxiety are like completely opposite conditions and anti-depressants make my anxiety worse and produce countless other side effects. Other doctors have addressed this with the typical response: "up the dosage". I've suffered from chronic pain for a long time and have been prescribed opioids, anti-inflammatory meds, anti-epileptics, anti-depressants, and probably a bunch of stuff I can't remember. Well, it turns out that the anxiety was the source of my pain, due to muscle tightness. Treating that was all it took for my pain level to become sustainable. I don't mean tell the story of my entire medical history. I'm only trying to demonstrate how Dr. Kotsis is different than many other doctors. Plus there's a decent café just outside the office and you get a nice view of the Detroit River when traveling to and from the parking garage. It's a bit of a drive for me, but worth not having to deal with typical doctor bs.

This was my very first visit here, but here are the Pros: 1) Staff was very nice. 2) Great-looking office and interior design. 3) The doctor was cool, answered questions, spent a lot of time with me. Cons: 1) The wait was around 30-40 minutes, which I was told by the front desk lady. It was nice of her to give me a heads-up. 2) While waiting in the lobby, one of the front desk ladies was too loud with her laughing. It was distracting and annoying. I also heard the doctor laughing while waiting in the exam room. Now look, I love it when staffs are in great moods and keep a light friendly vibe. But it has the opposite affect when the doctor is late, and you are sick. You already don't wanna be there, and you sure don't wanna be waiting longer than necessary! Which made the loud banter irritating. It just felt like they weren't taking my appointment seriously. I'm sure they did, it just felt like they didn't. Nevertheless, I will be back, and I would recommend trying them out.

I have been seeing Dr. Kotsis for about four years now and do not plan to stop! There is never a long wait to see him and anytime I needed to get in the same day, they were able to accomodate. He is very responsive to questions on the mybeaumontchart application, which is a huge plus for me. He never rushes through an appointment and makes sure to address anything you bring up. I have referred many of my friends and family here, who then always end up referring more of their friends and family because he's just that good!
