St. Raphael of Brooklyn conducted its final service as a Romanian Orthodox Church on Sunday, February 5, 2017. I'd been attending regularly since the end of July 2016 and was warmly greeted and welcomed by the clergy and parishioners. I miss the everything about St. Raphael but when one door closes another door opens. For the next year I'm going to visit Eastern Orthodox parishes in the metropolitan area and will eventually settle on (and in) a parish where I can be close to God and community.
