My Sistah's & Me Hair Braiding

I picked the medium waist length knot less braids and omg, I love them! This is my first time getting braids since I had chemo treatments about two years ago. The stylist, Alaya, was patient and so sweet! As a matter of fact, everyone was amazing! I usually do my own hair because of anxiety however I wanted to celebrate my one year remission. They made me feel comfortable. I told the owner that I will definitely come back!

Updated 3/30/24: The owner reached out and arranged for the issues to be corrected, she booked a redo appointment. Today, I had the pleasure of being serviced by Norita, who did a fabulous job. She was personable, quick, and a very good braider. This is one of the best appointments that Ive had. I highly recommend Norita. I greatly appreciate the owner acknowledging my review and following up on it. Based on todays experience, I am updating my rating. Initial: Ive gotten my hair braided here a few times and its been hit or miss. The braider, DAngela, is very good. My appointment this time was for waist length medium knotless braids and I couldnt be more dissatisfied with the results. Entirely too much gel was used, the boxes are huge with a small braid, the ends were crunchy and messy looking (although they were supposed to be straight), and the braider was apparently sick (made sniffing sounds the entire appointment). I didnt realize how much gel was used and the crunchy ends until I left the shop. I attempted to wipe away some of the gel when I got home and had to re-dip the ends in hot water. A few days later, my hair is covered with white buildup from the gel, the braids are hard and stiff (looks like the Angelica cartoon character). I will have to shampoo my hair, which will cause fizziness, especially since the front middle part braids are huge. Also, a few of the braids in the top stop just below my shoulder, not waist length. Also, my hair was clean and product free for my appointment. The positive: Booking is simple and quick and the hair is included for knotless braids.

This is not the salon my sister and me anymore, Ive been here twice and each time it was just mediocre. I asked for something as simple as 4 butterfly stitch braids to the back with buns. And my hair stylist was late and complained about not knowing how to do this style ,but when I booked it wasnt a issue I will not be coming back, Im done feeling jilted from some of these hair stylist
