Shelley is AMAZING! Her techniques, her way of teaching, and the way she outlined the class made learning how to be a nurse aide FUN. We did our clinicals the last week of the class at a nursing home in Zeeland - the hands-on training really allowed for us to take our in-class topics and apply them in the real world. It definitely wasn't as easy as you would think fully immersing yourself in the job as an aide with the elderly as they're used to everyday, but I learned so much. The nursing home even hired me the Monday following our final exam on that Friday! I had the opportunity to see future classes come in and work as hard as I knew she had taught them, as well as seeing the students of another school come in - though they tried hard, I knew it was Shelley's teaching method that made her students go above and beyond the rest. Forever will I recommend her classes. And for those worrying about whether you can only work in a nursing home or in a hospital - this 3 week class gives you the training in BOTH! Granted, I recommend working in a nursing home first before applying elsewhere. I currently work in a hospital and all the new things you encounter can make it very overwhelming - I couldn't imagine being a first-time CNA in a hospital. - Samantha L.

I took the CNA course and I learned a lot in in Shelley's class, I hardly knew anything when I first joined but I learned so much in 3 weeks and time really flew by, I enjoyed learning it. The way Shelley teaches makes it easier to learn and perform even the hard stuff correctly and if you still feel very unsure of yourself don't worry because when you get to clinical's a lot of your wrinkles will be ironed out with hands on training and you'll have a lot more confidence. I recommend this school, im very happy with my experience ~
