Went for my bfs birthday and couldnt have asked for better service and food. Shrimp was so meaty and fresh. The filet is so tender. And the fettuccine with vodka sauce had a lot of veggies, which I loved! Get a BOWL, not a cup for the chowder, you wont regret. Very generous portions and even offered us birthday dessert.

The grilled chicken with Alfredo, Broccoli, and Mushrooms is beyond amazing! Fresh and delicious! Hands down the best ever.

Ive had many fine dinners at the Argonne in recent years, but doubt I will ever be back after Friday night. Had a dreadful server who mostly disappeared after bringing me the wrong kind of tea. I decided to order the walleye, which the server, a large woman whose name began with a C, advised me to order pan-fried. What I got was some dreadful fish that was tasteless and appeared to have been baked;it tasted like frozen whitefish from a convenience store. The fault was mainly mine because I was engrossed in conversation and didnt notice how awful it was till I felt it was too late to send back . However, I was lucky: Ken Winter, with whom I was dining, went to the hospital with gastroenteritis later that night. I always have loved this restaurant, but I now feel that iif I can get out of going to the Argonne again I will. I
