They put in a floor and failed to level the concrete underneath. They noticed the movement in the floor and told us it was normal. I later found out there is a simple fix for this that they omitted. I called the owner who said he would come look at it but never did. I got busy and never chased him down. I have a pedestal in the room that wiggles when you walk next to it.

When we decided it was time to finish our basement, we were not sure where to turn. I went to Google first, which resulted in us having several of the big companies that just do basements out to our house for quotes. Let’s just say, we thought the quotes were too high.
Next, I talked to someone I know who has worked in the Canton Township Building Department for over 20 years. I asked if she knew any good contractors in the area. She instantly recommended Ted Braboy with “Put a Smile on Your Place Construction.”
After meeting with Ted on a Friday afternoon, we had a quote for our basement project by the following Sunday afternoon. It was prompt, detailed, and the price quoted was very reasonable.
After construction started, we knew what to expect. Ted, Tate (his son), and all other subcontractors and helpers were always respectful of our house, family, and time. Ted and his crew are very hard-working. They were at our house M-F from 8:30AM-6:00PM (often earlier and later if needed and approved).
We personally enjoyed working with Ted and company. They are all good people and fun to have around. Most importantly, the work that was done exceeded our expectations. We are extremely happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend "Put a Smile on Your Place Construction."
I have included some before and after photos of our basement. I plan on posting some furnished photos at a later date.
