I have never experienced the type of customer service that DUX provided to me any place else!! The way they treated me will always be remembered!! I now own my 2nd DUX boat made with the highest quality materials and craftsmanship that is 2nd to NONE!!! I absolutely LOVE my DUX and am now a proud member of the DUX family!!! I have paid over 8 K to get a Dux Hammerhead boat. After I received the boat I have noticed the boat was leaking air. After 9 month of calling and email and follow up finally Tom sent me instructions to fix it my self which it did not work anyway. I ended up finding a local boat shop to fix the boat. He may not have the state of art boat but Ill tell you he is the state of art Con Man. He is an extremely cheap business man. P.S: This is to the owner respond since I can't respond back to his phoney massage. As readers can tell his words like his character has no substance. Just Google inflatable catermeran and call other folks who sell these type of boats and say DUX to see what they tell you. Do yourself a favor before getting into this .

These Dux inflatable catamaran dinghys are hella fun! Solid fishing platform. Carries a lot of people or payload. I frequently go 25 knots with 4 people using a 25HP outboard. Also super cool looking and gets a lot of second looks and questions. We are massively enjoying it. We frequently drag it behind a 36 foot sailboat as a dinghy. Super stable, does not flip, or surf waves into the back of the boat like other dinghies. We even leave the engine on the dinghy. It delivers the promise of a true fishing runabout that also works as a safe dinghy, which is exactly what we wanted. Here's a picture of mine.

I have owned 3 of their boats and have had nothing but great reliability and dependability with these boats. Tom has been great as a builder and in answering any questions I have had. I intend to purchase 2 more of their SRD 550 boats as yacht tenders to use in the Bahamas this winter. A fantastic boat at a fantastic price!!!

I’ve had a 12’ Dux boat with a Honda 20 hp motor for 8 years. The boat is still running very well. No significant air leak issues and despite some pretty rough Lake Michigan waves it has held together very well. Only a few minor places where, after all this time, I have re-applied adhesive. Tom Chaffee has been great to work with. When I first got the boat (2011), I had some concern about the boat’s performance in 1-2 foot seas. After talking with Tom, he agreed to work with me and re-do the transom angle which, through no fault of his, he considered to be less than ideal. It did make a big difference. Tom really knows boats and performance design. The floor board of my boat is very stiff (which is good for our conditions) but heavy (which makes the boat more difficult to move by myself than I would like). I believe Tom now has a lighter floor-board alternative available. Last year, my wife and I took the boat on a trip of approximately 45 miles in Lake Michigan around Beaver Island. The entire trip was in 1-4 foot seas. The boat handled beautifully. I would whole-heartedly recommend Tom Chaffee and the Dux Boat he designed and manufactures.
