Personally I would not recommend highly unprofessional!! Kathy has no issues being extremely rude and shady. Don't count on your deposit back there excuse is it goes to office fees for a new tenant. They make you give account information for rent payments and don't take it then try to come back on you and say it was late even if you remind them several times its available. Trailer is poorly maintained, not insulated mice and ants are an apparent issue. They advertise storage space that is filled with there things they advertise lawn care and drop off a push mower. I would not recommend especially if you have small children.

I lived in Heavner Properties Michigan St. house for 3 years while attending Ferris State. The property was always well maintained, and our house was quiet and good for studying. I believe that Kathy and Larry choose their tenants carefully to provide a quiet house for students who are serious about school. Anything wrong with the apartment was fixed quickly by the maintenance men. They are always looking for ways to improve the house. I had them replace 2 old windows and it was done without any trouble while i was away on break. All in all, a great place for a student to be able to succeed.

My husband used DawgHouse properties for two years and I used them for a year. Tony and Larry were amazing for anything maintenance related (like when the furnace on our blower went out Thanksgiving weekend and they were there in 20 minutes) and Cathy was always responsive to anything I had questions on. The pricing was very fair and I had no major complaints for renting through them. The only downfall I saw was they don't allow pets. If you read your lease and keep a clean house you will have no issues. Don't let those former reviews stop you from renting from some very respectable landlords!

If you're not a diva you will be fine here, I spent two years in a studio with no major problems whats so ever. If you are looking at studios chances are you have probably absolutely had it with room mates, and I can say any quirks with the house are way easier to live with compared to room mates. This is a cheap studio apartment in a college town, not the Ritz-Carlton, if you keep your expectations in perspective you will be fine.
