DO NOT HIRE THIS PHOTOGRAPHER! My wife and I hired her for our wedding in 2011 and we ended up suing her because she took our money and never delivered the products we paid for. After a long, drawn out lawsuit we ended up receiving the canvas pictures that we ordered but I truly believe that if we had not taken her to court we would have received ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! She has changed her business name from Forever Memories Photography to this current business name and she has even gone so far as to change the spelling of her own name. When we hired her, her name was Amy Thomas and now she is going by Amie Marie. If that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is! I hope that by putting this out there I manage to save one person from going through the pain and strife that we did. She is nothing but a scam artist and I don't wish what she did to us, upon anyone. DO NOT HIRE HER!!!

It took me a couple months to decide if I wanted to review this photographer because I definitely don't want to sound rude, but I do think it's appropriate to let prospecting brides hear an opinion before choosing this photographer. I had nothing but issues with Amy. First off, I found her because we booked our wedding with the Golden Glow and Tabbatha (the wedding coordinator at the Golden Glow) highly recommended her. I saw photos the company had done at the Golden Glow's bridal show. They were beautiful photos so I decided to put down a deposit. From day one, Amy was unresponsive and of no help in guidance for our engagement photos. I emailed her multiple times asking for help with a location, outfit and best time to do photos. She would get back with me 2-3 weeks later after I contacted the Golden Glow saying I hadn't heard back from her. This happened approximately 4-5 times before our engagement session. When I finally met Amy (the day we met was the day she did our engagement photos), she was friendly. We talked about our miscommunication and she put the blame on the Golden Glow that she was pregnant and on maternity leave and that was why I could never get ahold of her. Ok, fair enough. I felt bad at this point because I had no idea she was pregnant nor on maternity leave. I decided she wasn't so bad after all. At the end of our engagement session, she told me we would have a sneak peek of photos in 1-2 days and all of the photos would be fully edited and sent to us within a week. That was great news since we wanted to use them for Save the Dates. About a week and a half goes by and I hadn't gotten a sneak peek or any of our photos back so I sent her an email. I never heard back from her. So I contacted the Golden Glow and Amy immediately responded. She sent us our photos about 2.5 weeks later which is still good turnaround time but the thing that bothered me was that she never said "hey I'm sorry. I've been really busy. I will get you your photos ASAP." Instead she ignored us and when she finally sent the photos, they were pretty terrible. Hardly any of the photos had any edit whatsoever. We had photos with a rusty van in the background, dirt on my arm and photos where my fiancé and I were so far apart, we looked as though we had never met. Amy was not interactive nor entertaining. She simply threw us in her standard poses, took a shot and moved on. She did not have a knack for this, unfortunately. So once we received our hardly edited photos and knowing the lack of customer service we received, I was upset. I couldn't get ahold of Amy (this was an unfortunate trend with her) so I contacted the Golden Glow because I did not feel comfortable having her shoot our wedding. About an hour after contacting the Golden Glow, I finally heard from Amy. She was apologetic and said she felt rushed because we wanted to use the photos for the save the dates. She offered another engagement session and even a consultation (why wasn't a consultation done in the first place?). I was very pleased with her owning up to her mistakes and offering to make it right. I was willing to work with her and I let her know that immediately. I was okay with the turnaround, just not okay with her telling me a week and then never getting with me to explain why they were taking longer. Three weeks go by and I never heard from her again. At this point, I am fed up, so I call, email and text her with no response. I called the Golden Glow and Amy responded to me within the hour. I told her I was unhappy with the photos and with her customer service. She claimed she never received my emails (something she claimed every time she didn't get back with me). Finally, I told her I wanted my deposit back and she agreed. Three weeks later, no check in the mail. I called, emailed and texted with no response until after contacting the GG. She finally sent the check out that day. AWFUL customer service. If you want a photographer to stress you out, on top of the other multiple stressors in planning a wedding, then Amy is definitely the one for you.
