Great cabins, clean, kitchen stocked with dishes and pots. Close to all the main attractions and pictured rocks. Owner is great. Will definitely be back

This place was adorable! Very clean and had the pleasure of seeing a golden eagle while enjoying coffee on the front porch one morning. So quiet and peaceful and would love to get back there one day!

Cabins are nice, clean, and roomy. But our host seems to lack customer skills. Could not make out one of the characters in the WiFi PW. So I called to ask. She did not know it, told us to ask the neighbors, but they weren't there at the time. I asked her to call us back. Never did. We did finally figure out the PW. Old smaller TV, but there was a large one in one of the bedrooms taking up space. Have no idea if it works or why it was there. Kitchen did not have a strainer or a dust pan. Also missing are a lot of other kitchen items and pots. I called to ask for that and maybe an additional pot. Said that the dust pan was in the closet, but it wasn't. Told to use the towels instead of a strainer and that there was a pot (just one large one). Never did get anything or come by to see how we were doing. We also checked and there are no tongs. no mittens,, and lacking other necessary items. We were told that we needed to bring nothing, but obviously this wasn't true. We again called, but no response or concerns. Lake access is down a steep set of stairs that have seen better days. Also not easy to access lake. Only the large cottage has its own fire pit. Had to use a common one with marsh mellow prongs stuck in the ground. The rooms are nicely appointed with fishing and woodland items. But can't cook a meal in a stuffed critter. Basically after we paid for the balance, our host just disappeared and has not responded to any calls. I was told that our host did not have a texting phone. But I texted that we could use some more wood. I did get a call back saying that she does not supply wood and I could forage through the woods. So how did she know that I had requested wood? She did ask if we needed more towels (this is after she said we could use the few towels in the bathroom in the kitchen), but we had already bought towels. In the end we purchased a strainer, corn holders, tongs, dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Now this would not have been a problem if she hadn't said not to bring anything up as the cottage was fully stocked with needed items. We will be leaving the strainer as we do not need it and the corn holders. The rest we will be taking with use. We only recommend this place if you bring everything you will need, don't plan on using the lake, and expect nothing or almost no response from the host.
