Dusty Customs

At the recommendation of a friend who has used Dusty's I visited in mid-late July. After speaking to Dusty I dropped of a fuel tank and side covers for a motorcycle to have them painted in the original color and pattern. I told him him I was in no rush and if the work was good, I had a few cars I wanted to be restored. I waited until September (7 - 9 weeks) to check in. I called and left messages a few times with no return call. I did get through on August 15th and Dusty called me and said he just wanted to do a little more polishing on it and would do it Sat. I told him no need to come in on Sat. but I did want to get it and see about getting started on a rare classic. I didn't hear back and called and left message 3 times between Wed and Thur. I did get an answer on Thursday and was told Dusty would call me back. I instead went to Dusty's and found they had not even started the work. So not only after 13 - 15 weeks they had not even started, Dusty himself lied directly to me in telling me he just wanted to do a bit more polishing. Integrity Matter. The silver lining is the person who recommended actually had to go there the following day we are both searching for a new place, but also at least I had these issue with a tank and covers. I would really hate to have to deal with this with a car where we are talking about 10's of thousands of dollars and 10 - 12 moths of work. Service: Painting
