Pretty sad that I got a brand new 70k destination camper with a defective toilet that won't hold water.. I contacted Thetford customer service and they verified my purchase, sent out a seal kit. I installed it, and that didn't fix the issue. I then was told to send pictures, so I had to remove the toilet again, take pictures and then re-install, only to hear from your customer service people that I should take the 15k lb camper in for service.. REALLY? why can't you send me a new toilet that works, and I can send the defective one back.. Pretty sad that as an RV owner for 25+ year, whom has used hundreds of Thetford products and this is how i am treated.. I'm quite sure this won't matter writing this, but this is the 1st of many posts I will share. Not how customer service should be from a family company. :(

Dismantling Thetford low profile toilet for rv to replace old seal. Seems like it was actively engineered to be unserviceable. The tensioning pivot arm is reinforced with 1/4 of plastic. For instance to replace the most basic valve requires an inordinate amount of disassembly to the point of complete dismantling. After reassembling, the plastic that maneuvers the arm gave out. Ordering a new one and will inspect completely to see if their new models are up to modern standards, will update on Amazon. #capitalism
