Hospital for Behavioral Medicine

I was "treated" at this hospital in August 2021, and I've kept quiet for the most part unless it's in my inner circle, but I'm coming forward now to say this: Find a different place for care. I stayed in one of their psych wards for about a week and honestly? I was genuinely fearful my life would end there. Unsafe and unhelpful are both understatements. Please do yourself a favor, seek help in a place that won't traumatize and haunt your life, even over a year later.

The staff at this place instigates patients so their behaviors will escalate. I was on the phone with my son and I clearly heard a staff say 2 times to chill. That escalated my son to start yelling at her. When I called the facility to discuss this I got another staff who did not want to disclose what his position was in the place.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was there for a week and never got a doctor, psychologist, or social worker. I had a wound that got infected because of lack of care. The inconsistency in rules is so stressful. I left feeling worse than when I came in. No one respected each other. Please do not go here
